WOW! A team of researchers from NOAA (the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) just discovered two World War II boats from the Battle of the Atlantic off of the coast of North Carolina. The ships have been lost for more than 70 years and were just found 30 miles off the North Carolina Coast.

This discovery shows just how close the war actually came to U.S. shores!
